School Year Highlight
Our Annual Awards Ceremony is the highlight of the school year where pupils, parents, and staff come together to celebrate the outstanding efforts and achievements of the year. Our Gold & Silver Awards are based on a combination of each individual's attendance, academic progress and behaviour which are monitored and recorded by subject and class teachers from August to May. Students are informed of the awards criteria (Table below) at the start of the school year and are ultimately responsible for which award they receive as they take responsibility for and manage their own attendance, behaviour and academic efforts.
Special Subject Awards are presented to students who shine in particular fields of study e.g. Music, Drama, Craftsmanship, Art, Science, Debating, Humanitarian Work, Sport and Physical Education.
Our prestigious Silver Medal Awards are presented to Leaving Cert students as follows:
Silver Medal for Outstanding Effort: Canon Michael Harrington
Silver Medal for Academic Excellence: Professor Noel Whelan
Silver Medal for Outstanding Student of the Year: Barra O' Briain
