Our Senior Hurlers had a great game against Hazelwood College yesterday in preparation for their Munster Championship. 🔵🟡

1A Science class were putting their theory into practice in the lab early this Monday morning. They have now completed two investigations in Science and are well on their way to understanding and implementing the scientific method.

1st Years finishing their 4 week taster in Wood Technology! 🔨🪚 Our taster program gives students the opportunity to try every subject before making their Junior Certificate subject choices.

Coláiste Mhuire, Buttevant are delighted to host heart screening days in the school on the 25th and 27th of October 2023, in association with Advanced Medical Services. Cardiac Screening will be available to anyone over the age of 12. 

Our first year boys had a fantastic day out at a football blitz in Mallow. Their first outing in a Colaiste jersey!! 🟡🔵

Second years recently studied the poem ‘Blackberry Picking’ by Seamus Heaney. Thankfully our school grounds has plenty of berries to bring this poem to life. They were tasked with finding a green, red and purple berry each.

Great start for our Senior girls in the Cork Colleges Intermediate competition with a great win over Colaiste Choilm Ballincollig. Final score 4-15 to 4-06. Up the Colaiste 🔵🟡

Well done to the Coláiste Choir who took part in the Senior Chorus Competition at AIMS Choral Festival in New Ross on Friday.

Well done to the 3rd year Music students for a very productive and creative day with Garry McCarthy - ‘GMC Beats’.  The students choose the topic, created the lyrics and the melody for the chorus. It was great to hear each of their lovely voices in the final recording.

Our U16.5 camogie team had a massive win over Abbeyfeale today and are now in the Munster Final! We are extremely proud of the girls performance. 

Hard luck today to our u14.5 girls ⚽️ team who never gave up in their Munster Quarter Final vs St.Brogans of Bandon but unfortunately lost on the day.

Well done to our swimmers who participated in the Munster Schools Swimming Championships in UL this weekend. Joshua, Liadh, Odhran and Taylor all achieved personal best times & placed very well in the Munster rankings.

As part of the Lidl LGFA Support Programme, we received a new set of sponsored jerseys for the Ladies Football Teams in the Coláiste 🔵🟡

Well done to our u16 footballers who won 5-8 to 0-10 against Millstreet today in the County Championship.

Congratulations to our U16.5 footballers winning their Munster Championship game against St. Brogans of Bandon. Winning by a score line of 7-12 to 1-9.

Great win today by our Senior Hurling Team. They beat Colaiste an Chraoibhin by a score line of 6-16 to 1-9.

Our Leaving Certificate Students had a Study Skills Seminar this morning helping them fine tune their study skills in the lead up their exams!!
