Our 1st year camogie team had their first day out for the Colaiste today and came away champions of the Cork Colleges blitz 🥳🏆

Huge thanks to Nigel Doherty & Doherty’s Centra @dohertyscentrabuttevant for their sponsorship of our new school soccer kits for the year ahead. The school are grateful and our students will be excited to wear our new jerseys over the coming weeks.

Last week TD Michael Moynihan organised an educational visit to the school for us. He was joined by Mr Trevor Mallard, the Ambassador of New Zealand to Ireland. They visited and addressed a number of CSPE and Business classes! 🏫📚🇮🇪🇳🇿

The music students had a fabulous trip to see ‘Wicked’ in the Bord Gais Dublin Thursday. It was an amazing experience for them to witness a professional live show in action.

Last Friday some of our 6th Year students were invited to visit Avonmore Electrical in Mallow. They had the opportunity to see live demonstrations throughout the workshop and learn more about the work Avonmore Electrical do.

Wednesday marked the start of the new school year with our annual Prayer Service in St Mary’s Church in Buttevant. It was a beautiful service lead by Fr Baker and our Chaplin Ms O Sullivan. Well done to all the students who took part. Thanks to the choir, Trad Group and soloist’s who performed so well.

Huge congratulations to our Leaving Cert class of 2024! We are beyond proud of your accomplishments and today’s results were well deserved.

Nicola Guinane received her student of the year award and bursary at Mallow Credit Union last Saturday the 25th May.

The 3rd edition of ‘The Coláiste Chronicle’ was released Friday and I’m sure like us you will be massively impressed again.

Our Leaving Cert Awards Ceremony is always an occasion for reflection, celebration, acknowledgement of our student’s fantastic academic achievements, the friendships they have forged and the memories they have created here in the Colaiste over the past 6 years.

Stevie Mortell in 3rd year started his first week of work experience on The Farm in Grenagh on Friday the 19th of April.

The choir had a super day out in New Ross for the Aims Choral Festival. They performed ‘When I Grown Up’ from Matilda and ’This Little Light of Mine’. Well done to all the students who worked incredibly hard and sang beautifully.

We celebrated Wellbeing, Culture and Community Day in the sunshine last week. A day to celebrate the school community and the backgrounds of all within it and eat some ice cream 🍦 🟡🔵.

On Tuesday last we hosted our inaugural GAA awards night to celebrate the incredibly successful year on the sporting year for the Coláiste.

A great soccer match yesterday between our Leaving Cert class of 2024 and the staff! Everyone was a winner on the day - great result 😃🟡🔵
