Fionnbar Walsh Visit

Fionnbar Walsh, father of inspirational teenager Donal Walsh from Tralee spoke to our TY students Monday. It is ten years since Donal passed away following his battle with cancer. Since his passing, Donal’s parents travel the country spreading Donal’s message to young people to embrace life and talk to someone if they are struggling with their mental health. TY students raised donations funds of €845 to the ‘The Donal Walsh #LifeLife Foundation’ and presented the cheque to Fionnbar after the talk. ‘The Donal Walsh #Livelife Foundation’ was set up by his family primarily in order to promote his anti-suicide #Livelife message.The foundation also assists in providing age appropriate teenage facilities in hospital and hospice care centres.
